Remove Html Tags From Your Amazon Listings

Are you using HTML tags on Amazon product listings? Amazon announced that from July 17, 2021, it would no longer support HTML tags in the product description of product detail pages.
Product descriptions are a crucial part of any Amazon listing. After being attracted by the images and title, people will look for the product's features and benefits.
And, those features and benefits are the deciding points for customers.
The problem in these descriptions can sometimes be too difficult to read and look more like not well-formatted text. That’s where HTML tags came in.
For sellers that did not have brand registries, HTML tags were a lifesaver.
Unfortunately, Amazon released a statement that it will no longer support HTML codes on product detail pages.
Amazon stated that:
To provide security for our customers as well as versatility to list products on non-HTML devices, after July 17, 2021, we will stop supporting the use of HTML tags in the product description on product detail pages.
We encourage you to update any product detail page for your listings with an HTML tag. You can use Seller Central or your usual channel for such updates.
Any product description containing HTML tags on the product detail page that are not supported after July 17, 2021, will stop showing HTML formatting.
For example, if you use HTML tags in one line of a product description, the line might be removed or shown without HTML formatting, depending on the usage of the tag.
However, you can use one HTML code as a special use case. As a special case, you can use line breaks (</br>) as necessary in the description.
Other than that, Amazon mandate that you do not use HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, or different types of code in your product detail pages.
Amazon also reminds merchants to comply with the relevant style guide for the product they are listing.
