On March 23, 2022, Amazon made a declaration regarding this. See what Amazon says.
"Starting April 15, 2022, meltable inventory in Amazon fulfillment centers will be removed and disposed of for a fee. To avoid disposal, submit removal orders for meltable stock before this date.
Meltable inventory will not be fulfilled or accepted from April 15 to October 15, 2022.
'Meltable' refers to all heat-sensitive products, including but not limited to chocolate, gummies, and select jelly- and wax-based products. To protect product integrity during storage and shipping, products in fulfillment centers must be able to withstand summer temperatures ranging from 75 to 155 degrees Fahrenheit. "
Requirements of Meltable Inventory
It has also listed the requirements of the Meltable Inventory. They are,
"FBA accepts meltable products from October 16 to April 14 only. Meltable inventory stored or arriving at our fulfillment centers from April 15 to October 15 is marked unfulfillable and disposed of for a fee.
"Meltable" refers to all heat-sensitive products, including but not limited to chocolate, gummies, and select jelly- and wax-based products.
Products in Amazon fulfillment centers must meet quality standards during the summer months (75 to 155 degrees Fahrenheit). This temperature range protects product integrity during product storage and shipping.
Products requiring refrigeration, air conditioning, or freezing are prohibited throughout the year. Perishable products, including but not limited to fresh meats, fruits, or vegetables are also prohibited throughout the year."
